[Features]

Direct drive 3 head closed loop double capstan system.
DC amplifier for play back.
Motor driven cassette door.
Very silent mechanism even in changing the mode
( Play-->FF-->REW-->STOP,.....)
Chassis is similar to GX-73 ( newer model sold after GX-7 ).

[Trouble Shoots]

Trouble Cause Repair

The Display showed that "Dolby NR B is Active" but the signal was not encoded and decoded by Dolby B ( both L and R channels ). Dolby C was OK. At the dolby mode select circuit consisted of some resistors to create 3 different DC voltage levels, one of a resistor was open. Replaced the opened resistor.

Reels were not driven. Slip the idler O ring. Replace the O ring.
